設計說明 | We designed a “VERTICALIZED AEROTROPOLIS.” Our idea is to transform the airport from a flat volume into a vertical infrastructure which composed landside, airside, and terminal facilities in one. Getting inspiration from the baggage handling system, we combined the aircraft turnaround operation with the conveyor system. The airside reconfigured as a gigantic “AIRCRAFT HANDLING SYSTEM.” The runway is elevated on the top of the infrastructure and the aircraft handling system will be located at both sides of the runway. The system forms a loop route and assists the aircraft to move between the runways, hanger, and concourses. The system is modular design that could be expanded toward future needs. And each modular could be operated individually which would be great advantages to helping the airport to deal with an outbreak.
